49th FIS Pilot's Scarf
Original USAF unit-specific pilot's scarf, in this case 49th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron. US mfg white silky synthetic material printed with green eagle and lightning bolt design, measures 46 1/2 x 7 inches. Light age yellowing but no fraying or other damage. Scarf was worn by 49th FIS pilots from 1984 to 1987 while stationed at Griffiss AFB, New York. Nice piece for any collector of unit-specific pilot scarves or 49th FIS items and is in fine condition.
