Description
This is an injection molded figure of Peter Pan. It came from a vacation to Disney World in 1972 the year after the park opened. The figure was from a machine that pressed the figure while you waited. You could watch in wonder as the exposed mechanism created your figure! You can see the mold seam along the figure and base. The cast members had a station next to the machine where children could paint their newly pressed figure. This was painted by me, the original owner. I have NOT cleaned this figure for fear of cleaning off the paint.
It is about 6 inches tall. The embossed letters on the front say “Peter Pan”, the letters on the back say “Walt Disney Productions”. Bottom shows irregularities of the molding process – a hole and a tab. There are small nicks in the base that I can only assume were bite marks from my dog.
😊
Unusual and rare item. I was not able to find another one online. If you are a Peter Pan collector or a Disney collector, this would make a great and scarce addition to your collection.
