Competitor Permit Pit Pass to 1958 Southern 500 Darlington Fireball Roberts Win.
RARE Competitor Permit (they were also issued to sponsors and this one came from the collection of a Pedrick Piston Rings Exec) to the 1958 Southern 500.  Won by the legendary Fireball Roberts.  Roberts won many early Superspeedway era races including the 62 Daytona 500.  His career was cut short when he was killed in a racing accident in 1964.  Also in the field were Marvin Panch, Buck Baker and Shorty Rollins.  You just don't see tickets or passes from 50s Nascar races = very rare.
CONDITION = VERY crinkled and creased, like it was in someone's pocket for a while.  There are tiny holes just above Darlington (you can see the indention on the g) where a staple may have been?  And 9th Southern 500 is written on it.  Still it exists!
